Introduction
Cybersecurity developments last week highlighted how quickly the threat landscape is evolving. Attackers are exploiting newly disclosed vulnerabilities within hours, while AI is increasingly being used to automate reconnaissance, exploitation and phishing. At the same time, vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure and enterprise platforms continue to expose organizations to significant risks.
Across the region and key industries, cyber resilience remains a growing concern. Rising attacks against the UAE and Saudi Arabia, targeted campaigns against logistics companies and retailers, and growing concerns around AI and supply chain security underline the need for stronger visibility, preparedness and security controls.
Critical Vulnerabilities and Exploitation
Attackers Exploit WordPress CVE-2026-87902 Within Hours of Disclosure
Threat actors have begun to actively exploit a critical security flaw in WordPress within hours of public disclosure.
The vulnerability in question is CVE-2026-87902 (CVSS score: 9.2), which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to obtain remote code execution (RCE).
F5 Patches Critical BIG-IP APM Zero-Day Exploited for Unauthenticated RCE on OAuth Servers
Attackers are exploiting a critical flaw in F5 BIG-IP Access Policy Manager (APM) that lets them run code on a BIG-IP system without logging in, F5 says.
The flaw, CVE-2026-94127, affects only systems in which APM serves as an OAuth authorization server, issuing access tokens to applications. F5 disclosed it in an advisory on September 22 and has released engineering hotfixes.
Cloudflare Fixes Flaw That Let One Container Read Another Customer's Leftover Disk Data
A flaw in Cloudflare Containers let a paying customer read data that other customers' containers had left behind on the same server, Cloudflare and the researchers who found it said on Thursday.
The data came from disk space that earlier containers had used and given up, not from any live workload, and an attacker could not choose whose data they got, according to Cloudflare. The company has fixed the flaw across its service and says customers need to do nothing.
AI-Driven Cyber Threats
AI-Powered Campaign Targets Hundreds of Online Retailers
A threat actor is using autonomous AI agents in an ongoing campaign targeting hundreds of online retailers, cybersecurity outfit Gambit reports.
Active since July, the campaign relies on three AI harnesses to automate the attack chain, including vulnerability research, exploitation, and orchestration.
'Salesbleed' Exploits Salesforce Agents to Enable Slack Phishing
Vulnerabilities in Salesforce Agentforce, collectively dubbed "Salesbleed" by researchers, could expose customers' internal data and, worse, allow attackers to phish employees from within trusted company channels.

Corp MDM Spyware Targets Logistics Firms, Steals New SMS and Redirects Calls
The logistics sector has become the target of a new malicious cyber campaign that distributes an Android spyware codenamed Corp MDM.
According to Have I Been Squatted, the campaign uses fake Google Play pages branded as CEVA and TKW Logistics to distribute an Android Package Kit (APK) file that's dressed up as a system service. The delivered app has the package name "com.corp.mdm"
UAE, Saudi Arabia Face Onslaught of Increasingly Complex Cyberattacks
The Middle East continues to see an uptick in cyberattacks, with a surge in financially motivated threats despite the focus on the widening military conflict in the region.
The United Arab Emirates, Iran, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia accounted for about two-thirds of all attacks (67%) discovered through open source methods, which scan for attack information on Dark Web forums and on threat actors' Telegram channels, according to threat intelligence firm Positive Technologies.
Industrial leaders face cyber resilience gap as attacks shake confidence
Nearly nine out of 10 industrial security leaders said they believe their companies could contain a cyber incident, and nearly half of those same companies experienced a breach or attack over the past 12 months, according to a report released by Rockwell Automation.
Businesses fear cyberattacks more than anything else, driven by AI and supply chain worries
Companies are more aware than ever before of the multitude of cybersecurity threats they face. “Confidence that companies can navigate cyber events is increasing,” Travelers said in its report. “But AI is rewriting the threat landscape faster than many companies can respond.”
Security breaches topped the list of cyber-specific concerns that business leaders voiced, with 56% of them citing it as a source of worry. Following close behind were breaches involving AI (55%) and revenue losses stemming from vendor-related incidents (53%). Both of those threats have multiplied in recent years as AI has become more ubiquitous and supply chains have become more complex.
